Last night, at the Hawke's Bay Sports Awards at Pettigrew Arena in Napier, the region's sports people and supporters were recognised.

The winners were:

Hawke's Bay Today-Radio Sport Sportsperson of the Year: Aimee Fisher (Kayaking).

Sportsground.co.nz Administrator: Ivan Aplin (Cycling).

Nimon and Sons RSO/Club Operations: Hawke's Bay Netball.

Sbsbank Innovation in Sport and Recreation: Patu Aotearoa.

Brebner Print Official: Chris Pollock (Rugby).

Kennedy Park Masters: Myka Nuku (White Water Rafting and Waka Ama).

Sileni Estate Coach: Paul Henare (Basketball).

Spark Digital Service: Ross and Anne Brown (School Sport), Yvonne Gardiner (Netball), Vicky Lassen (Netball), Waka Leonard (Rugby League), Craig Waterhouse (Softball).
