There has been a shake-up of jobs at a Tamatea Pak'n Save.

There has been a shake-up of jobs at a Tamatea Pak'n Save.

Pak'nSave Tamatea has shed 10 jobs and created four new ones as the Napier store prepares for a new building.

Corporate PR director Antoinette Laird said two departments had recently restructured - administration and dry goods.

"Within the dry goods team the number of staff roles available at the store has actually increased for 20 positions to 24 in total under the new structure.

"In the administration team the number of roles remains the same at five.

"As part of the structural change we have had 10 staff whose roles were disestablished and either chose to not re-apply for the newly created roles or were unsuccessful in gaining re-employment."

Those who declined new positions received redundancy.

First Union Hawke's Bay organiser Mike McNabb said a new building was planned and new structures were put in place "so they can hit the ground running".

The store would remain open during the one-year-long construction, due to start in October.
