Tickets are selling fast for only the second All Blacks test match at McLean Park, organisers say.

Hawke's Bay Rugby Union's commercial manager Jay Campbell said more than 150 tickets had been sold every day for the past three days and total sales for the September 6 match against Argentina were tracking towards 19,000.

"We want to push on now to a sell-out of the 22,000 [capacity] ... we still have some covered seats available and I encourage people to get in now and be part of and enjoy the All Blacks experience.

"We don't get these matches here very often and it might be a long time before we see another All Blacks test here again."

McLean Park has only hosted an All Blacks test once before, when they beat Samoa in 1996.

Mr Campbell said the extra seating, had lifted the grounds capacity from about 15,500 to 22,000.

It will create an impressive atmosphere and a spectacle the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union hopes to repeat in the future.
