If you reckon you'd fit the nickname Thigh Voltage, or maybe Babe Ruthless, then the Bay City Rollers want you.
The team is looking for new players for the region's new roller derby league.
Charlotte Porter, 38, known as Porterhouse Skate, said the team came from all walks of life _ beauty
therapists, graphic designers, baristas and mums.
And they were looking for ``motivated girls'' 18 and over, prepared to spend five hours a week training and improving their fitness.
``Come along, give it a go, we have spare skates for everyone,'' Porter said.
``We are developing a beginner skating class for girls with limited experience.''
Members all went by colourful nicknames, including Bella Dominator, Hellish Fury and Annie von Carnage.
While the full-contact sport was not for the faint-hearted, Porter said roller derby was ``not just rolling around banging into each other''.
Players skated around a circuit track, with points scored by jammers while other players blocked their opponent's progress.
The league also needed referees _ one way for blokes to get involved. They also needed a suitable place to train and bout, preferably with a polished wooden or concrete floor.
