Reader's Digest has named Villa Maria Estate as Most Trusted New Zealand Wine Brand for the second time in the past three years.
The well established winery has been New Zealand's most awarded winery for more than 38 years.
Not only has it won over the hearts of Kiwis, it was also named the world's most admired brand by Drinks International earlier this year.
Villa Maria founder and owner Sir George Fistonich said the Reader's Digest award was a great reinforcement of Kiwis' affinity for the winery.
"We're one of the few remaining New Zealand family owned wineries of our size left in New Zealand, and this is something we're immensely proud of."
"This, teamed with our focus on quality, means wine lovers can trust that they will enjoy all our wines from well-known varieties like Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, right through to Albariño," he said.
Reader's Digest is now in its 19th year of approaching consumers for their opinions on what brands, products and services are most important to them. In the latest poll, more than 1400 New Zealanders were interviewed on who they thought deserved to win the Most Trusted category.
Desirability of brands and their products or services are all taken into account when voters are making their decisions.
