One person injured after car and logging truck crash on Taihape Rd, near Sherenden

One person has been injured a car and a logging truck collided on Taihape Rd, near Sherenden.

Emergency services were called to the crash between Matapiro Rd and Flag Range Rd, about 10.10am on Tuesday.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said one person sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Hawke's Bay Hospital.

One ambulance was sent to the scene.
