Napier's controversial conference centre is the War Memorial once more, with the name being re-painted on the building on Monday.
Council passed a resolution during their meeting on June 29 this year to reinstate the signage, after it was removed as part of a redevelopment last year.
However, the removal
drew widespread criticism from the community.
In June 2016, the council had voted to rename the War Memorial the Napier Conference Centre
At the time of the vote council were told the inclusion of the words 'war memorial' in the title was limiting the commercial viability of the centre.
