Napier car crash victim, 22, dies

The driver of a car which smashed into a parked 4WD vehicle in Pirimai last Saturday night has died.
The 22-year-old man, from Hastings, died on Thursday afternoon.
He had been in the Hawke's Bay Hospital's intensive care unit after receiving what police described as serious head injuries in the crash.
His situation had been listed as critical since being admitted and it is understood he had been on a life support system.
The man's name was not available from police at the time of going to print last night.
He was the sole occupant of the Ford Falcon car. The impact left both vehicles written off.
