More infected Hawke's Bay orchards found

The number of Hawke's Bay kiwifruit orchards infected with the devastating disease Psa has risen to five.
Zespri is recommending growers remain alert for symptoms and refer to the website www.zespricanopy.com for more information.
Growers with symptoms are advised to spray with copper to stop bacterial advancement, tag affected areas and wait for an assessment to be made.
Nationwide the majority of the Psa-positive orchards are within a 23km area south of Te Puke township, with Psa-positive tests also coming back from orchards based in Tauranga, Whakatane/Edgecumbe, Waikato, Golden Bay and Motueka.
