A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a firearms incident in Napier early on Sunday.
Police were called to the incident in Te Awa, Napier, about 4am on Sunday.
Hawke's Bay area commander Lincoln Sycamore said the 26-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear in the Hastings District Court on Monday on firearms-related charges.
Sycamore said it is believed to be an isolated incident and police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the matter.
"Police have no information to suggest anyone was injured," Sycamore said.
The scene is currently cordoned off.
