Logging truck crash closes State Highway 2 northbound near Napier, delays expected

A two-vehicle crash involving a logging truck closed the northbound lane of State Highway 2, north of Napier.

Police said the crash happened on Main North Rd/State Highway 2 near Bay View around 2.25pm.

A Hato Hone St John spokesman said one patient was assessed and treated at the scene.

The road is closed from the airport to Bay View and diversions are in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
