Whyte said from Wednesday, temperatures would reach highs of 17C and 18C.

“In terms of the best places to be, it’s pretty much everywhere, because it will be nice and sunny and a lot brighter.
She said because of the sunny days, night temperatures would remain in the single digits at 3C and 4C, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
“They seem quite a bit chillier than May might be used to.”
Light frosts are expected in sheltered places.
