"I hand out the lollies," said Mr Twigg.
Colleague Melissa Fairless, on the other hand, was planning to run, pushing her 2-year-old daughter Holly in the pram the entire way.
"I've been going for runs at lunchtime and running a bit after work. I had to make sure I could actually push her the whole way," she said.
Mr Twigg said it was great to see all the people on the day.
"All our staff are fit and healthy so we encourage them to get behind the great cause."
Mrs Fairless had fond memories of the walk and said the firm had been getting behind the Mega Walk for as long as she could remember. Seven colleagues and family members were walking or running this year, with others helping behind the scenes.
"The goal is definitely to have as many of our staff and family and friends to be there to support this amazing case," she said.
"It's a horrible disease and it's good to get families together to help."
The firm's staffers will don their CanTeen bandannas in support of the cause.
