INVESTIGATED: The Ministry for Primary Industries staff swarmed on Hawke's Bay Seafoods this morning. PHOTO/FILE

A team of Ministry for Primary Industries officers raided Hawke's Bay Seafoods in Ahuriri this morning although no comment was being made as to what had prompted the visit.

Officers were seen going into the processing area as well as the yards and offices.

A police photographer was also seen at the site.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Primary Industries said a statement would be released later today.

The company had been the target of a large scale visit last September by Ministry of Primary Industries staff as well as customs, police and immigration staff after a six-month investigation into what a spokesman at the time said were alleged fishing quota anomalies.
