Police are appealing for help from the public to find two offenders involved in an alleged attack and robbery at a Havelock North dairy.

The incident happened at Middle Road Dairy about 1.30pm on Wednesday.

Three people entered the store and allegedly stole money and other unknown items before assaulting an employee. They then fled the area.

One person was arrested.

The employee suffered a head injury during the ordeal and was taken to hospital in a moderate condition.

“Police are following positive lines of inquiry and are appealing for further information relating to the vehicle used by the offenders and their movements prior to and after the incident,” police said in a statement.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who saw a 2012 silver Subaru sedan in the Lipscombe Cres, Tasman St, Middle Rd area between 1pm and 1.30pm or the Akina area at around 2pm.

“If you saw the vehicle or its two male occupants, or have dashcam or CCTV footage that shows them, please make a report to police.”
