Adding to the excitement, the tournament will feature a unique pro-am format taking place during the weekend rounds.

Amateur golfers will team up with professionals in a best-ball competition, providing an opportunity for golf enthusiasts to share the fairways with elite players.

New Zealand PGA chairman Phil Ellison, was grateful to everyone involved in elevating the tournament to PGA Tour of Australasia level and that this achievement was a collective effort.

“With a stronger field, we’re optimistic about seeing one of our own rise to the challenge and secure victory,” he said.

“It’s shaping up to be an incredible four days, and we look forward to hosting both local and international players.”
