Auctioneer Bjorn Anderson knocks down a pen of ewes at the combined Dannevirke and Pahiatua ewe and ram fair at the Dannevirke sale yards.

Prices were good at the combined Dannevirke/Pahiatua ewe and ram fair last Thursday, auctioneer Bjorn Anderson said.

"The sale went very well, with a strong results."

With quite a bit of feed on farms locally, the majority of the buyers were from Tararua, with a few from Whanganui.

"Vendors had done an outstanding job with their stock." Anderson said.

However, there was an absence of buyers from Hawke's Bay, mainly due to the mixed age ewe and ram fair at Storford Lodge last Friday.
