Former player Matt Hastings has taken on the newly created operations manager's job with the Hawke's Bay United Football Club.
Hastings, who was previously the events and marketing manager for Central Football and Hawke's Bay United, took on the role after former general manager John McGifford resigned from his job
after three years at the helm.
"I feel extremely privileged and excited to accept this exciting opportunity," Hastings said.
"Last year in my role, it was a new experience for me, but an experience that I gained a lot of new skill sets and understanding around the game of football from a new direction and, for me, I feel this has helped in order to accept and move forward in the new role for the club."
"It was a very proud moment last season with the success that the team showed on the pitch and this has now set a very good foundation for us as we head into the upcoming season.
