Crash in Hastings closed Pakowhai Rd

A child has died at Ponsonby Intermediate school in central Auckland.

A motor vehicle crash in Hastings on Friday afternoon closed the road between Pakowhai and Frederick St for just over an hour.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they were notified of the crash at 1.06pm on Pakowhai Rd, in Frimley.

A patient was assessed to be in a serious condition and was then taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
