The Breast Cancer caravan situated in the centre of Havelock North has been a success.
Breast specialist Alison Hayes believes the caravan has been creating awareness in the small towns of the country they have visited and said it had been receiving a lot of interest.
"It helps empower womanto look after their bodies," Dr Hayes said.
She said if just one person received information from the caravan, many more could benefit from it.
"There are people coming in for information and then taking that information to friends and family."
The caravan is touring the country, in conjunction with radio and television advertising encouraging women to consult their doctor about any changes they may detect.
"Some women are not aware if their signs are significant enough to go see their GP."
