There is little damage to a car which hit the outside of the Dannevirke Services and Citizens Club this morning.

The accident occurred just before noon at the club on the corner of Queen and Princess Streets and Dannevirke volunteer firefighter Mike Finucane said "it was nothing major."

"The car impacted the side of the building, with little damage apart from a dented headlight," he said.

The Services and Citizens Club building wasn't damaged and the driver had been able to get out of the car.

Finucane said the driver wasn't injured, but was checked over by St John personnel as a precaution.
