It's not too late to enter the Dannevirke Christmas Parade this Saturday, with entries accepted until late Friday.

Already float numbers are looking good, Suresh Patel, a member of the Chamber of Commerce parade committee said.

But you've still got time to organise your entry and be in to win cash prizes provided by the Chamber and associate sponsor Mitre 10.

The Dannevirke Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade commences at noon and heads down High St, led by Dannevirke's Ruahine Ramblerz leisure marching team, followed by 21 other teams.

After making its way down High St the parade will turn and go back up the street, with the winners' shields on display. This year there are two new prize categories, the most original float and people's choice. Spectators will be able to vote at four stations along High St for the people's choice.
