Tremains Rentals raised hundreds of dollars for local surf life saving by offering beach goers a piece of prime real estate at the weekend.
Tremains Rentals director Cam Ward said for a $10 bond, people at this year's Waimarama Beach Day spent an hour lounging and being pampered in a VIP "retreat".
Up to 5000 people were in and around the beach and events on the day, with three of the Tremains Rentals gazebos offering respite from the sizzling heat.
"They got some shade, comfy chairs, cold drinks and food. They had their own property manager running around for them, getting the kids ice creams."
After an hour of cold air and massage, guests could choose to donate their bond to the Waimarama Surf Life Saving Club.
