Sports Scene is NZME's new sports show hosted by Laura McGoldrick and Marc Peard.

The duo will be bringing in-depth and light-hearted takes on the New Zealand sporting landscape.

Sports Scene has a little something for everyone. The show is not just about the big sporting events, it also goes behind the scenes to find out what makes athletes tick.

Today, they talked with former All Black Liam Messam about his tattoo designs.

"It's my taniwha that I carry with me and take with me everywhere really. It's there for life now," Messam explains.

The team also talks to legendary and now retired rower Eric Murray, who will be going to this year's Commonwealth games but this time in a different role.
