After nearly a decade with Craggy Range Winery, Michael Henley is set to take the reins as chief executive officer at Trinity Hill.
He will take up the role early next month, having spent nine years at Craggy Range where he has been national sales manager, its London-based UK andEuropean marketing director and more recently its marketing manager and brand ambassador.
His appointment to its Hawke's Bay headquarters has delighted the Gimblett Gravels-based Trinity Hill team.
Robyn Wilson, Trinity Hill's chairman and owner, said the combination of Mr Henley's sales and marketing skills and experience would add "real depth and focus" to an already strong team.
The company's president and co-founder John Hancock and Trinity Hill's winemaker Warren Gibson agreed. "We are looking forward to working with Michael. He brings not only talent and a wide-ranging knowledge of all aspects of the wine industry, but youth and energy."
Trinity Hill's general manager, Bruce Speedy, who will assume a non-executive director role with a focus on financial affairs, said Mr Henley was arriving from one of New Zealand's most respected wine producers. "He will be invaluable in helping Trinity Hill to grow a successful, sustainable and profitable business."
