Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society is looking for 60 volunteers to make its annual Daffodil Day street collection on Friday, August 30, a success.
Daffodil Day is the Cancer Society's largest fundraising and awareness campaign and runs through August.
August 30 is a nationwide Friday street collection. Volunteers are needed for two to three-hour shifts which begin at 9am and run until 7pm.
Volunteers can choose one or more shifts and will be able to stand behind a collection stand and accept donations in exchange for fresh or fabric daffodils.
"We rely on the support of dedicated volunteers to make this appeal a success," says Cancer Society spokesperson Rachael Mounsey.
