Knights of the realm and gentry of the court will be making their way to the Waikato Waldorf School's annual Medieval Carnival on May 20.
Ordinary folk are also invited to make merry at the free event from 10am till 3pm at 85 Barrington Drive, Rototuna.
There will be a variety of amusements from riding the trusty wooden jousting horse, Gwendelyn, down her railed course (for the brave) to troll bowling (for the young). There will be a medieval village where a blacksmith will ply his trade and fighting men will be preparing for battle.
Crafts will be on sale and food and coffee will be available on site. Entry is free, and eftpos available.
Funds raised will go towards purchasing sports gear, camps, library books and other school equipment.
