The part I really enjoy about saving seeds is the way I store them.
Lackadaisical I may be, but when it comes to making labels, stashing brown paper envelopes on a shelf and lining up glass jars, the designer in me surges to the fore. My envelopes have line drawings on them and my glass jars all match. The following method for seed storage appealed to me so I'm trying it.
Store your seeds, apart from legumes, which prefer breathable bags, in airtight jars.
Put your seeds in paper packets.
Fill a small cloth bag with 1/2 cup of dried powdered milk and place it in the bottom of the jar with the seed packets on top.
