GISBORNE Speedway Club hopes to begin next season with the meeting it had planned as the grand finale of the 2019-20 season, as it abides by the Covid-19 restrictions.
The club had scheduled a massive two-night meeting for early April.
“We had 40 superstocks, 50 stockcars and a big line-up
of TQs lined up for the meeting,” speedway club president Clyde McGrory said.
“It's disappointing, but we have to do what we have to do to support the community, as we all must do in this crisis.
“It puts the club a bit on the back foot, but we have to look after our volunteers, our drivers, our fans and the wider community.”
