Bill Raggett won Gisborne Cosmopolitan Snooker Club’s handicap singles championship this month.
In the final, he defeated Tiny Thompson — in the decider for the third year in a row — two frames to one.
Qualifying was played in four sections, with winners decided over three frames.
Those to qualify
for the last eight were John Warren, Thompson, John Berry, Kevin Kennedy, Raggett, Nathan Coombs and two players returning after a break from competition, Bill Shaw and David Ou.
Thompson, Berry, Raggett and Ou made the semifinals, where Thompson defeated Berry and Raggett defeated Ou.
