Work on the final stages of the $500,000 Peel Street/Palmerston Road roundabout continued this week as contractors put the finishing touches to the major traffic flow improvement project.

“The next week is mainly tricky concrete work around sumps, footpaths and assisting with a security camera for the camera trust,” a council spokesperson said.

The roundabout is expected be completed by the end of this month. Work started in late February.
