A WAIROA man was taken to hospital this morning with a leg injury after a log he was cutting for firewood rolled on top of the lower part of one his legs on a property near the town.
The accident happened mid-morning at a place in Awamate Road outside of
Wairoa.
The injured man was taken to Wairoa Hospital with an ankle injury described as moderate.
Wairoa St John ambulance and the Wairoa fire service both responded to the mishap.
