THE 16 secondary school students involved in the annual Tairawhiti Youth Emergency Services (YES) programme have graduated and funding has been secured to repeat the programme next year.
The students completed 20 hours voluntary work this year before they graduated.
“We have managed to secure funding for the programme fornext year and we are in the process of recruiting new students for next year’s programme,” said programme co-ordinator Wendy Notting.
“Students interested should contact their school careers faculty asap, as applications close on December 13.”
The students demonstrated their skills, including stretcher work, during graduation.
