Parts of Tauwhareparae Road and Arakihi Road will be closed periodically at times next week to give road contractors a chance to carry out further maintenance.
Tairawhiti Roads journey manager Helen Harris says Tauwhareparae Road will be closed from Mangaheia Bridge No. 5 to the intersection of Hokoroa Road between
11am and 6pm, from Monday to Wednesday next week.
“Arakihi Road will then be closed on Thursday and Friday next week from 11am to 6pm, though resident access is permitted.”
The closures will allow contractors Downer to work on much-needed maintenance on the road.
“We ask that vehicles stay off the road during those times.”
