Gisborne is getting ready to party with the Rhythm and Vines festival at Waiohika Estate announcing its full line-up and releasing the official festival map.
Organisers have put out the full schedule with new acts Keli Holiday, Lucille Croft, Jawbreakers, joining top rapper Kid Cudi, Americanhard rock band Turnstile, English EDM artists Wilkinson and Maribou State, and Kiwi band L.A.B.
“Over 100 acts have now been announced for the four-day music and camping festival, with the official campers’ night pre-party starting on December 28 before the festival kicks off across four stages on December 29,” organisers said in a statement.
“Across these acts and stages are 70% local artists – most notably at Rhythm and Vines’ Waiohika Warmup on December 28 – exclusive to on-site campers.
“By set-up time, Rhythm and Vines mirrors a temporary township, with power, sanitation, medical facilities, water infrastructure, roads and camping zones all being brought in by thousands of on-site workers.”

The festival employs hundreds of “locals throughout the set-up and festival execution process, as well as partnering with community initiatives such as the SuperGrans Tairāwhiti Trust”.
Molly Pardoe, 81, chairwoman of SuperGrans, is set to DJ there, too, as”DJ SuperGran".
Organisers also emphasised the festival’s impact and numbers of people who had attended.
“The latest economic impact survey (2024) showed an increase of regional GDP in Gisborne of $4.24 million ... Since 2003, over 375,000 Kiwis and international travellers have unlocked their rite of passage – the journey that is Rhythm and Vines.”
On average, about 15,000-18,000 campers arrive at the festival each year from December 28, spread across numerous on-site campsites for multiple days of music until the morning of January 1.
