The heavy rain warning for the ranges between Gisborne and Bay of Plenty has been lifted.
Gisborne District Council civil defence training assistant Paul Stuart was not aware of any issues overnight.
The top 10 sites for most rainfall recorded during the 10-hour warning period of 9pm last night to
7am this morning were Waikura 81 millimetres, Raparaparikiki (Rip) 74mm, Oweka 55mm, Poroporo SH35 51mm, Pakihiroa 48mm, Te Araroa 42mm, Puketoro 40mm, Arowhana 39mm, East Cape 38mm and Te Rata 38mm.
Waikura recorded 28mm over an hour early this morning.
Mr Stuart said the weather was meant to fine up before showers developed again tonight. The 10-day forecast is for rain and showers.
