So Civil Defence is looking for new headquarters less than four years after the council offices demolition and new buiId.
I pointed out the vulnerabilities of the council site, even before the previous building was demolished.
I spoke of the risk of the council offices and civil defence base being
compromised by tsunami, earthquake, flooding, liquefaction and so on.
These concerns drew no satisfactory response, yet here we are with ratepayers facing more expense for a new base at Lytton West.
Where is the forward thinking around here?
