Labour MP Kiri Allan has organised a virtual series called East Coast Town Hall.
The first meeting airs live tomorrow at 8pm on the MP's Facebook page.
“East Coast Town Hall is a digital series bringing our community together and giving space to essential discussions during a time when we
need community more than ever,” Ms Allan said.
The theme for the first episode is Budget 2020 and its impact on the East Coast — what is really needed in a Covid-19 recovery?
“Following the Government's announcement last Thursday, a lot has been discussed. You've heard the key points, but what does this all really mean for people's lives?” she said.
