Re: Fix toilets, add a charge — June 29 letter.

Your letter Pam, and mine, could fall on deaf ears. I will share the reason why.

It was said to me by a council member that, “It is not the toilets that are dirty, it is the dirty people using them”. That to me sounded like, “End of story”.

The building without the “dirty toilets” and the “dirty people” is in itself an “icon”, so I hope the designs for the $400,000 upgrade make the most of this and ensure this “icon” stands steadfast.

If we don’t shout loud and clear enough, those “deaf ears” will not hear our suggestions. They will be too busy “drooling” over their grand new building.
