The charity knit sale was a great success on Saturday raising $2400 to be split between the three charities — Stroke Tairawhiti, Brain Injury Gisborne and Multiple Sclerosis Gisborne-East Coast.
A huge thank you to all the knitters who donated knitting, especially Barbara Benson, and to The Gisborne Herald andMediaworks for their promotion of the event.
Without the support of volunteers on the day such an event could not proceed, so massive thanks to them for their support.
To all those who purchased knitting, you have not only supported three great charity organisations but your children and grandchildren have some great knits to wear this winter.
