The Poverty Bay dog trial Centre runoffs held at the Ngatapa dog trial club last weekend saw titles taken by Henry Gaddum, Leo Edginton, John MacPherson and Allen Irwin with some solid scoring.

Gaddum won the long head with Ming, Edginton and Larry took out the short head and yard, MacPherson and Jag the zig zag hunt, and Irwin and Dan won the straight hunt.

The centre champs were sponsored by Property Brokers. It was a very successful trial with lambs used on all courses.

John MacPherson competed in three events, and the Ngatapa President Brett Loffler finished second in the straight hunt.

Father and son John and Damien MacPherson competed against each other in the long head and John won that friendly rivalry.
