TOUGH GAME: Papamoa College's 1st XI hockey team.PHOTO/SUPPLIED

Netball: Congratulations to the following netball teams who have made it through to Saturday's semifinals at Harbourside Netball Centre - Y7 B playing at 9am on Court 3, Y7 A playing at 9.50am on Court 5, Junior B playing at 1.10pm on Court 3. Monday night the Senior A, Senior B and Junior A played in semi-finals at Harbourside. The Senior A team made it through to the final. They play Friday 6pm on Court 1. The Junior A and Senior B fought hard and both had a loss of just 4 goals in their semi finals.

GymSport: Congratulations to India Smith (Year 7) who placed 1st in Womens Artistic Gymnastics in the Flyers Club division, and Connor Kennedy (Year 8) who placed 1st in the Mens Artistic Gymnastics in the Flyers Novice division at the Impact GymSport Competition last Friday. A big well done to our AIMS Aerobics Team who competed in their first competition, coming 2nd in the Aerobics competition.

Water Polo: Congratulations to Joseph Faulkner selected in the U16A Tauranga Water Polo Team, Keegan Millington and Ollie Ford selected in the U16B team and Callum Johnstone in the U16C Team.

Table Tennis: Xavier won the North Island Under-15 doubles titles with Liam Buckrell from Wellington. His BoP team, with the Tilsley brothers from Otumoetai, came runners-up in the Under-18 Boys teams event coming within two points of winning. He also won the Under-15 singles at the Waikato open, and the Under-17 singles at the Road to Rio tournament.

Hockey: The fantastic parent support continued to motivate the Boys 1st XI into playing the best game so far to win 6-0 with Keegan Millar (3), Kadin Tuck (2) and Lewis Olsen the goalscorers. Brilliant play from Armit Kooner, Benjamin Koch and Connor Millar, but this week Dylan Keepa, Cameron Bugbee, George Kingston and Tomas Sanchez seemed to enjoy the more open game.

The 1st XI Girls game was against Tauranga Girls' Junior A and it was the toughest game the girls have had all season. After Georgia Fowler opened the scoring, the girls held off several attacks. Goalie Annelise Bond saved a flying high ball that was sent in at speed, but late in the game two goals were conceded. The game was a great lead up game for our NZSS Tournament.
