Tauranga set for rainy Christmas Day

Tauranga looks set for yet another rainy Christmas Day with the 10-day forecast released today.

MetService has forecast rain with light winds for next Thursday with a high of 23C.

However MetService meteorologist John Law said it was too soon to let the forecast ruin the holiday.

"There's plenty of time for the forecast to change.

"It all depends on on how much moisture is left behind from these systems.

"Keep an eye on the forecast but don't let it ruin your holiday yet."
