Tauranga's celebrity rock star AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd wants you to be his front seat passenger in a slick supercar this weekend.
Mr Rudd will be at Farmer Auto Village on Saturday with a collection of 11 luxury cars, including seven which are "the rarest supercars in the world".
He'll be offering
to take locals for a spin, in exchange for a price.
Mr Rudd will then be gifting the money to the earthquake recovery fund in Christchurch.
He also plans to auction some special AC/DC memorabilia.
The star's public appearance in Mount Maunganui on the weekend will be a rare experience for fans of one of the world's best rock drummers.
Born in Australia, Mr Rudd quit AC/DC in 1983 and retired to New Zealand. He rejoined the band in 1994.
AC/DC have sold more than 200 million albums and in 2003 Mr Rudd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the other members of the band.
He and the Rudd family trust will have 11 cars on display on Saturday, with entrance to the event being by gold coin donation. The price of rides, and length, is yet to be finalised.
The cars on display include a Ferrari F40, Ferrari 599, Lamborghini Murcialago, Lamborghini Gallardo, 2010 Rolls Royce Ghost, Unique Can Am race car and 2011 Bentley Mulsanne.
There will also be a Bentley super sport, an Audi R8 V10, an 2011 Aston Martin DBS and 2010 Mercedes SLS AMG.
The display will run from 9am-4pm on Saturday at the Farmer Auto village Audi/Volkswagen showrooms.
