Sunny skies to stay, for now

Hang out the washing, the sunny skies and warm temperatures that arrived in Tauranga yesterday is expected to revisit the region today.

Tauranga received a high of 19C yesterday and is expected to reach similar temperatures clear skies and a high of 18C today.

The warm and fine days are expected to be shared with most of the North Island as a high covering much of the country moves slowly east on Wednesday.

Cloud is forecast for Wednesday before rain on Thursday and Friday.
