Psa-V, the most virulent form of the vine disease has been found on an orchard at Waihi, well outside the previous infections in the Te Puke area.
A meeting has been called for growers in the town tomorrow (Thursday September 15) at 1.30pm in the Waihi Memorial Hall.
11pt">Psa Priority Zones are areas infected with Psa-V (including a buffer) where containment strategies are prioritised. High Risk Areas are those that surround the Priority Zones and the next most at-risk areas of infection. Medium Risk Areas are deemed to be the wider New Zealand regions subject to on-going monitoring.
