More than 100 homes in Te Puke and Waihi Beach are without power this afternoon.

PowerCo reports a total of 62 properties in Te Puke and 59 in Waihi Beach are affected due to damaged equipment.

Power went out in Te Puke at 12.17pm today and was expected to be restored this afternoon.

The power to 59 homes in Waihi Beach was turned off at about 5pm on Sunday and was expected to be turned back on this afternoon.
