Tauranga police are warning residents in Bellevue and the surrounding suburbs to be vigilant after a series of thefts from vehicles overnight.
Cars were broken into in Seymour Place, Crombie Street, Princess Road, Anne Road and Regent Street on Sunday and Monday nights.
Senior Sergeant Rob Glencross said so many thefts in a relatively concentrated area was concerning.
Some of the cars were left insecure but others had windows smashed so entry could be gained.
Police asked residents to ensure that their vehicles are secured and valuables were removed.
