Police searching for Tauranga schoolgirl

UPDATE: Police have now located the girl.

Police are asking for help to find a missing teenage girl from Tauranga.

Dunedin police hope members of the public can help them track down 15 year-old Sarah MacKenzie.

Sarah has been missing from the Tauranga area since March 30, 2016, but information suggests that she may be in the Dunedin area, police stated.

Police are aware that Sarah may also be using the name Vanessa Bayford and she may have also dyed her hair black, police stated.

If anyone has any information on Sarah, or her whereabouts, please contact the Dunedin Central police station on 03 471 4800.
