A Tauranga mother desperate for some drugs drove her son to and from the scene of a knifepoint robbery during which he wore a Scream mask.
Lisa Burroughs-Mather and her son Nikolai Burroughs, 20, robbed the Maungatapu Pharmacy on October 10, 2011, less than four weeks after he robbed a
female pharmacist at Pharmacy 257 in Maunganui Rd at knifepoint, then fleeing with drugs.
Burroughs-Mather, who pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated robbery when she was arraigned for trial in Tauranga District Court yesterday, will be sentenced on April 24.
Her son will be sentenced on the same day after he earlier admitted two counts of aggravated robbery.
The first robbery occurred about 10am on September 17, 2011, after Burroughs drove his mother's BMW to Pharmacy 257 and robbed a female worker of some oxycontin.
